Ipoh –> UTP (Tronoh) –> Sitiawan

Tuesday, February 28th, 2006

I have no clue what occasion was last Wednesday that my parents decided to return to Ipoh. They told me was a ritual called ‘jie fu’ which means praying to the goddess to receive some luck blessings. Interesting, yet weird at the same time. And a chance it was as Mel called me 3 days earlier and I almost forgotten to mention to her about this. She told me to get Fadli who’s studying at UTP to meet them in Sitiawan as well. I was more than excited, this plan was so quick I hadn’t even seen it coming yet and I’m going down to Ipoh in 3 days time! How fortunate  can everything be when I called Fadli, he’s so happened to be free on that day itself, though a little rush on his final year project in which he has to meet and update his supervisor the next day but he’s cool with the idea. Whoopee! Now it just brought up the toll of my excitement. But there’s a slight problem..it’s gonna be an hour drive down from UTP to Ipoh and also roughly an hour from UTP to Sitiawan. So in total, Fadli has to drive 2 hours down just to get back and from between UTP and Ipoh, in addition to another hour down to Sitiawan..errgh..I didn’t wanna burden him with the driving but it’s hardly do I get such chances to meet them since they’re all living outstation. We had a couple of plans ahead of the meet up and we agreed the best solution there is for Fadli to pick me up from Jusco in Ipoh and have a small tour around his university in Tronoh, then later at night only we’ll leave for Sitiawan since all of them are working in the day. I’ll have to stay overnight at Fadli’s dormitory.

Dad dropped me off at Jusco about 3 plus, just as Fadli called he’s in there getting some daily supplies. Been over months since I last saw him, LOL he obviously didn’t shave; beard and mustache pretty long and kinda in a sloppy state. Well I guess when you’re leaving outside, where do you have the great deal of time to care how about your looks especially when it’s your final year with lots of head-busting going on. Been there, done that and believe me, it’s definitely not a joyable sight. We strolled around the complex, stopped to get some tidbits (kaya with garlic flavour buns..not bad) before we made a move.

There’s been some little disruption at this point..his muscle legs are aching badly due to 22 hours of jungle trekking (Gosh, what kinda trekking is that? Imagine walking non-stop for 6 hours was easy enough to grow blisters on my feet!) and he had to meet his supervisor the next day which brings to a bigger problem, he was wanting to take the free time now to update his project’s progress but was reluctant to tell me till I came. Tried to coax him into going with me cos Mel, Huoy Feng & PeyTsei really wanted to meet us. He could only go as far as if they’re willing to drive down here to Tronoh (then again, what’s in Tronoh?). I was hoping he’ll changed his mind when we arrived at UTP. At the entrance, the security was pretty strict with visitors having to leave either their ICs or dirving license to proceed. Since I was staying in his dormitory for the night, the security requested that he writes a permission letter to the authority concerned in order for me to stay for failing to do so, he’ll be fined. What loads of regulations..is it so necessary to do all that? Anyway, I took the visitor’s past for the mean time to discuss the matter over at his room.

We still couldn’t up with the solution as he really couldn’t go but I’m in dire of going pula..at this time PeyTsei to find out our final decision. Couldn’t answer her as I wasn’t the one driving but driven. Asked her to come down here instead but her parents wouldn’t permit as it’s practically one hour drive from Sitiawan (It’s understandable I mean after all, she’s a gal..who would let them drive all the way here when it’s like more than 10 kms away from home). While Mel and Huoy Feng were way over at Pangkor island, it’ll probably take them 45 minutes to reach the shore of Lumut jetty and for for them to prepare (you know..gals) and stuffs, that’ll be a drag on till past dinner LOL.

And so the final decision was; that Fadli lend me his Kelissa for a day down to Sitiawan and returned it to him next morning. That settled, but where will I stay for the night? It couldn’t be any of the gals’ place obviously. Apparently Peytsei’s dad had a vacant apartment available in Lumut which she had to obtain permission from her dad..and luckily, he gave the green signal. That again settled, but apart from the city of Ipoh, anywhere outside was total lost place to me so how would I know the way to Sitiawan? Just a straight road all the way till I reached the roadsign that said Sitiawan only should I start turning. Settled. There, all done and I’m ready to leave since it’s already 6pm. All I need to do now is a little adjustment into his auto car (Embarassed to say the least I’ve never driven an auto car ever since I’ve been sticking to my dad’s manual Wira from the time I got my license LOL) Luckily it’s adaptation from manual to auto instead of vice-versa for the latter would be more problematic.

Dark clouds forming on the sky and soon enough, it started pouring cats and dogs. Throughout the entire journey, it was really a physical test drive for me in the heavy rain as well as the unfamiliarity of the area. Completely excited with the whole journey thing..if my parents found out I’ve driven alone to a place I hardly knew at all, prepared to be reprimanded by them LOL.

In the town of Ayer Tawar and another 15 mins or so to reach Sitiawan. Peytsei asked me to wait for her in front of KFC. She said it’s along the way and I wouldn’t miss it if I kept an eye on both sides of the road. Through enough, I saw one ahead of me at the junction of a traffic light with a Bata shop next to it. Confirmed with her if this was the one meant and yup. She’ll be short while driving her Saga. In my heart, I felt a sight of relief, knowing that I didn’t overshoot the place and can’t imagine the trouble I’d be if I did.

She brought me over to her house for a moment while awaiting for Mel and Huoy Feng who’s already back here but still busy putting on their best dress LOL. I didn’t mention, I actually forgotten to bring my jeans. Only three quarter journey to Ipoh did I realised my blunder. So for the time being, I was stucked in my knee-length short pants..wasn’t a great sight to bare my hairy legs :-S. Gosh, when they meant busy putting on their best dress, the words certainly applied. We waited ‘hours’ in front of Mel’s house and still no sign of them coming out of the house. Tired of waiting, Peytsei decided to bring me have a look at her kindergarten she was teaching..this’d buy some time. Aiyoh..memang lama..when we got back, they’re still not done! Wonder how many layers of makeup and lipsticks they wanna apply baru satisfy LMAO..kidding ;-P. Ah…finally, I saw glimpse of both descending the stairs with Mel’s brother opening the door for them. About time really. They decided to have dinner at Pizza Hut. We ordered the new Atlantis Seafood..really delicious with the onion toppings. I wanted to hear all about the recent news what with Mel having a new boyfriend who works as a chef at the same Pangkor Island which they all called him Simon Gor Gor. She told he was very much an excellent boyfriend who takes care of you 24-7, brings you really good food, pretty much knows how to be a perfect husband LOL. Only problem she had was his over-protectiveness; didn’t like any other guys to be too close to her.

I got up and excused myself to the loo for a second and when I came back, they had paid the entire meal, including my part. I wasn’t very comfortable with the idea of having gals doing the treat. They wanted to do some shopping at a local departmental store before starting off the journey to Lumut. We bumped into Mel’s brother and his galfriend and he greeted me ‘boss’…out of nowhere. Made me real confused but whatever LOL.

Peytsei drove us down to Lumut where his dad’s vacant apartment was situated. When we got in, the place had been furnished completely and all 3 rooms had clear bedrooms ready. The gals picked theirs and I picked the room next to it. Would be a little waste if didn’t have a look around the place so I brought along my digicam and a little scout around the area in the silent night. 2 big swimming pools right below with the bigger size being filled with water. Took a couple of group photos before we finally called it for the night and back to our respective room.

Got several knockings on the door. Drowsily, I got up and looked upon my alarms set. Aiyah..terset in silent mode..no wonder it didn’t ring. It’s 5.45am and Mel & Huoy Feng has to return for their work in Pangkor Island while Peytsei back to her kindergarten teaching lessons. Dropped them off down at Lumut jetty and waved goodbye to them and we headed back to Peytsei’s house where I parked Fadli’s car for the night. Had some light breakfast before I continued my journey back to UTP.

As upon reaching UTP, gave several calls to him but no respond. Must be still sound asleep LOL, so I had to wait till he sees my miscalls. In the meantime, I tried to retraced my steps into his dormitory but I wasn’t very sure which block was it that he stayed. My first attempt had knocked into somebody’s else room…omg..embarassing..apologised to him and suddenly Fadli called to confirm the exact block. Went for lunch at his uni’s cafeteria, very modern style and so unlike TARC’s narrow and stuffy. The land in UTP was so wide that one facility to another are like miles ahead but I really like the design, very modern, glass concept  and spacious (maklumlah..Petronas so rich mah). The library was just whoa..I was really amazed at how many levels the entire building was..the place’s just so big!

View outside the compound of library. Behind Fadli is the chancellor hall where convocations all other formal functions are being held.

Gosh…look at how many stories high.

23022006001 23022006002

Look at the amount of space on each level..

Having to observe just the library itself can make you go awe if your first timer, don’t forget, we still got the lecture halls to check out and boy what a sight below.

Man, I’d really love to study in a place like this but having said that, there were many cons which we need to considerate..mainly the abominal fees and the place was secluded.

Was almost lunch and it’s time for me to get back to Ipoh. There’s a bus stand right outside the university where majority of buses would pass by Ipoh’s Juscom according to him. All I had to do was wait for an incoming passing bus from a distance and enquire first whether they’re passing by Ipoh bus station just in case. Up came the first bus but the driver told me he isn’t going there so I decided to wait for the next. Sun was really heating up on me and the next bus seemed forever. Finally one sighted, and again he told me he wasn’t going to Jusco’s Ipoh but to the Ipoh bus station instead. Well I figured Ipoh bus station shouldn’t be far from my relative’s place so I boarded it anyway. Couldn’t stand of waiting another one.

Arrived at Ipoh bus station, called dad to come pick me up. 30 minutes passed and still no sight of them. I was beginning to wonder was this the right destination that driver pin-pointed. Thank god my second grand uncle spotted me. Apparently, the station was supposed to be in the opposite direction but instead it stopped here with the other buses, even though both sides of the bus station are linked somehow.

Meet up back 2 back

Monday, February 27th, 2006

Gosh..think it’s over a week didn’t blog..well one of reasons cos I had to sit down thoroughly and think what should I have to write for the pass events..and it’s like having to forgo flashbacks and scanned through my brain first before I could begin the first sentence.

Ah…forgotten to mention about the back to back meeting first with Patrik, then Wei Wern suddenly called to have a mamak session, was thinking it won’t be soon enough till he planned to have one since only recently I started meeting with him online to discuss about this. Was having our usual badminton session with my cousin Hong when Patrik called to attend a motivational talk at Legend Hotel in KL..ya know..one of those Multi-Level Marketing strategy companies, in this case it’s Synergy Worldwide. It’ suppose to start at 7pm and my watch was reading 6.30pm! Gotta rush back, shower and everything then had to walk all the way to the LRT, switched to Star somemore which is gonna take me like…45 minutes. I dropped Hong back to his house, as I was to step out my seat, got a message from Wei Wern to hold the mamak tonight in Sri Hartamas at 9.30pm! Alamak…the talk would only end around 10 plus..I wouldn’t make it in time. So I told him to delay it to 10 as I do not want to skip it. It’s hard for them to find time and sit among ourselves and update each other. In fact, he got me calling more friends..the Chun twins, Kanesh and Ka Ken while he contacted Dina and Edward. Everyone gave the clear signal ahead, except for one of Chun bros, How who was still at work. However, he too eventually gave the clear sign.

Arrived at Legend Hotel, where Patrik awaited me at the lobby entrance. The show was just about to begin when we hurriedly made out way to our seats amongst the big crowd of audience, where I met his younger brother and a friend for the first time. Founder of Synergy Worldwide made his first speech as the opening act of the event which briefly explained its background and where it’s standing right now at this moment compared to others throughout the nation. As it proceeded, I was beginning to feel it wasn’t becoming of a motivational talk anymore as awards and prizes are handed away to the great achievers of having to spread the revenue wider to their downliners. Interesting as to a number of them had even teams of at least 5 or 6 energetically cheering a special motto everytime their leader was on stage to receive the award. LOL so it was a prize giving ceremony after all, which Patrik admitted the mistake as it was a last minute notice, so he treated me this time as the entrance fee was RM10. So it ended roughly over 10 plus which I thought we could leave soon to the mamak session which had already started (plus I gotta pick up Chun bros and Kanesh on the way), but funnily was held back to take pics with the other crews, even though I wasn’t any part of it LOL. So the photography session finally done..I was rather anxious as it was getting late..by the time I got home it’s already 11pm.

I was just about to insert my car keys into the ignition when Kanesh smsed saying it was too late to out for him. I was like…what?? It’s only 11pm and it’s too late to go out already?! Shoked and surprised to obtain such reasons to say the least. I mean not like we didn’t hang out this late before in our previous sessions then. Anyway, better moved fast as the later I stalled to persuade him to go, it’ll be midnight in no time. Got Chun twins on board and made a dash to Soul-Out in Hartamas within minutes. Hadn’t had any my dinner yet..thank god I drank plenty of water earlier for if not gastric would attack me easily. Called for a basket of fries and onions together with fruit punch. They’re planning to move to SS2’s Murni later. The fries and onions came but the fruit punch never made its way. Tired of waiting any longer, Got the waiter in charge to cancel that menu off the receipt. Moved to Murni at 1am.

Whoa..business is swelling high for Murni, considering every other shophouses along were closed except it. Fries and onion earlier on didn’t even fill half of my stomach so I ordered another an ayam special burger with Milo ais. Ahh..finally relieved. We chatted a lil longer and noticed some of us are yawning pretty much, some even the bloodshot eyes getting more and more apparent, especially Chun How who still had to work on Sun. Called it a night about 2am and meet up again such as this for a chance in the future.

Bowling event at 1U

Tuesday, February 21st, 2006

Pinkies and Farahnatics organised a friendly bowling match at 1U on Sun. This is to send 4 top players from both teams to represent the fan clubs to another friendly match among more fan clubs such as Siti Nurhalizas, Amy’s, a couple AF3 finalists fanclubs as well which is to happen on the first week of March at Ampaing Point’s Bowl. Was late for the first game as I had to fetch priest. I did fairly so-so on the 2nd game..with 111 points (Embarassed to say, this was my first time obtaining more than 100 LOL). Marks were collected for both the 1st and 2nd game, which we have our top 4 scorers from Farahnatic..Mart, Arjuna, Arjuan’s friend and Estra. Pinkies too picked their top 4 scorers. They’ll then compete among each other to determine which team will triump overall.

Tension was building among ours…all 4 fumbled at the start of the game..most obvious was Arjuna who had the highest points earlier on combined but now, he’s trailing behind the rest. 2 members of Pinkies’ points were surpassing our 2 highest. In the end, pinkies won for 1st round. 2nd round our team was replaced by Ostro and I. LOL..though I was nowhere the top but it was just for a fun game anyway. Tough luck though, socred a miserable 70 but that’s also because priest played silly with 2 rounds LOL. We did manage to secure victory for the 2nd game but the overall score tally, Pinkies ruled us out. All and all, it’s a satisfactory game of bowling between 2 passionate fan clubs.

Meet up with ex-collegemates

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

Last Fri was Chong Yu’s birthday so I thought, why not have a little yam cha session back at Setapak..their usual place of hangout at BRJ mamak restaurant. Waited at Coffee Bean opposite Hilton for Wee Yee and Zeng Quan to pick me up. Got a call from Zeng Quan to spot for a green MyVi at the corner of the traffic light and there it was making a u-turn. Got into the car and we started being our old chitty-chatty self, blabbering all nonsense with the usual lame jokes and also keeping track of some old mates who I’ve haven’t heard after the graduation.

God…it was an awful jam along the way to Setapak via the Federal Highway, plus the medium drizzling. If we’d known, should’ve taken the LDP instead. It’s already 9pm when we’re only halfway there. The jam was seriously unbearable. And I’m actually keeping the birthday boy and Shion Chung waiting back at Setapak LOL. When we got there, had difficulty finding a parking space..dang..people should have started leaving the place back to hometown by today as it’s the last day of examination at college. Yet, the entire row is being occupied. Can’t remember how many turns did Wee Yee take but it was definitely more than 3 and there..a good spot, finally.

Still partly drizzling, I started calling them down. Decided to settle in BRJ. And what coincidence, the big screen tv’s playing American Idol auditions in Boston LOL..though I’ve already watched it from Star World. Shion Chung arrived…with someone familiar..oh it’s Sook Mei LOL..didn’t know she’s still living in Alpha Condo. Chong Yu came a short after. As we sat down and mingled, Sook Mei was interested with my 6680 and she began recording a video of us together. At the same point, we all said happy birthday to Chong Yu..LOL lame as it is…we just said it, didn’t get him anything..not even a cake..some friends hor? =P

I figured since it’s still CNY which I was still in the mood, I suggested to have a game of poker cards or anything, however some of them doesn’t prefer gamble which the end I couldn’t execute the game as not enough kaki to play. Wee Yee had to leave by 12 midnight since he’s gotta work tomorrow. And Zeng Quan has to follow his car anyway since both are living in Klang. I could take the LRT or his car but on second thought, I came all the way here for just a mamak and then return?? No way! I decided to call a night here at Shion Chung’s place.

Wah ding…mana tau they both left for CC to play DOTA!! Wth…and made me waited there miserably to finish..not just 3 hours or so but 6 hours with the package!! I was never a fan of strategy games so yeah C & C, Red Alert or StarCraft never made their way to my comp. However if you’re dealing with CS or Unreal Tournament, that’s a different story…which from that choices, you could tell I favour 1st person shooter games more. Anyway, even if I had left home with them, there’s nothing for me to do the next day so I’d  rather spend time here..which clearly made no difference.

Eventually, I accompanied them in the CC till the credit ran over…how foolish could I be..but what the heck I’ve got no transport whatsoever to go home. It was about 4am till Chong Yu ended his. So we had mamak for a while before we proceeded to Shion Chung’s place. Chatted with the roommates till morning..didn’t sleep a wink but doesn’t matter anyway..I’ll be leaving first thing in the morning. About 6 am, Chong Yu picked me to the station and I rode on home and jumped directly onto my cozy bed…

Le tour de Langkawi at Dataran Merdeka

Monday, February 13th, 2006

On Sun morning, was suppose to go badminton with my cousin but too tired till I overslept LOL..so had to postphone it to another day. Remembered Aris’ msg yesterday about Farah performing later at 5pm in Dataran. At first, I was confirmed I didn’t want to go but on second thought, I had nothing on today so aiyah might as well go lah…since I can get Aris to pick me up hehe =P. Agreed to wait at Bangsar, 2.30pm. Aris’ mum, Ulee & Estra were also present in the car.

When we arrived there, weather doesn’t seem inviting..dark clouds are appearing at certain corners. It’s bound to pour soon, which eventually far heavier than we expected. All of us had to take shelter in one of tents till it’s down to drizzle. The cycling event had to be halted completely too. Everything was temporary ’switched off’ to await the heavy downpour.

Just as we thought the rain was slowly decreasing, it began to pour again..while Nita is performing Kris Dayanti’s Cobalah Untuk Setia. Then again, we couldn’t care as we skittled towards the open air stage as Nita sings her next song, Fame. Next was Farah..first song was Kembali Lagi Di Sisimu, followed by If I Ain’t Got U and surprisingly she took on Daniel’s Mimpi. I was looking forward to hearing her version but needless to say…the song arrangement for her was really awkward. I didn’t like it at all. Nevertheless admist the rain, it never did dampen the spirit for us as Aris and his mum waved Farah’s banner with the ear-splitting screams which made number of people in front spunned around to stare funnily at us LOL. Till the end, the entire cropped out picture of Farah was tainted by the rain as the colour progressively fades.

Farah was to invite us for tea at her place but Aris’ mum turned down the offer cos practically all of us were soaking wet under the rain even with umbrellas and it’s certainly wasn’t a pleasant sight to be stepping into her house under these circumstances. Instead, his mum treated us for a drink at a mamak restaurant in Bangsar where she ordered a really plate of err..forgot was it called LOL but dang..the spices are really hot..me having a cold at the moment didn’t really help much..my eyes went all watery and I was sort of gasping for air. Hence she stopped from eating and try the satays instead LOL..that was embarassing to say the least.

Aris dropped Ulee & I back after that and boy was I filled..don’t think I need to have my dinner anymore LOL. Thanks again to your mum for the treat!

Meet up with Dina, Kanesh & Tusham last Sun at Burger King but we moved to Nasi Kandar in ss2 soon after. Later, we entered Watsons as I wanted to check out tickets for the birthday bash on 24th are still available at which major outlets. We came across this, thought it was funny so took a pic of it  LOL.

How do you like Dina’s smudge on his face while promoting it? LMAO!!! Sorry Dina..can’t resist to put this here XD XD XD.

Bbq at priest’s place

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

Dina & Kanesh suddenly called for mamaking on the 4th day of CNY. Tried to get Wei Wern to join since it’s been so long we’ve last seen him, instead got into his voice operator. Discussed about having an ex-bbian bbq gathering over at Kanesh’s since his place has a big porch. After that, went over to Amcorp Mall to take a night stroll down the Padang Timur field cos we’re practically so bored. It’s already 11pm and obviously all the shops inside Amcorp have closed, except for one music and movie retailer with still had the volumes turned on loudly, echoing the entire mall. Tomorrow’s priest bbq, was wondering how things would turn up..everything was so last minute. Managed to get Sean prepare a 20 person ayam rendang to add on among the dishes and will be bringing my brand new grill stand which I can make use of it now . He suggested trying his cafeteria’s acah (you know..the one with spices mixed with vegetables) as they served it the best but priest & I thought it wasn’t something that’d fill our bellies as much.

Gotta pick up Ostro and Choo Yen from the LRT station at 6pm, so told Sean I’d pick the ayam about 5 plus. Left the house about 5.15pm to Assunta Hospital. Was a little skeptical picking up the food from a hospital..well it’s still early CNY and I had to step foot into a hospital..I know..it’s silly superstitious but then again I believe it isn’t a good omen to do so..within these 15 days of CNY. What the heck..just grab the chicken and leave lah. The cafeteria’s located on the 5th level. He told me to go by the lobby entrance and I thought there’s somehow a connection from the level 5 parking bay to the hospital but apparently they aren’t connected. Had to take the lift down back to the lobby and take another route to the correct lift leading directly to the cafeteria. Paid RM24 for the ayam..gotta go the LRT station..perfect timing. Picked both of them and headed straight to priest’s place. On the way, received sms from priest saying Farah won’t be coming due to some stomachache..sigh..disappointment written all over our faces.

Reached there about 7pm, got out the ayam randang and the grill stand. Surprisingly, Sookie was here very early then expected LOL..told me she’d come about 8pm or sumthing. Started setting up the grill with the help of priest’s dad and Ostro. Out of the corner, thought I saw Myn and by jolly yeah she’s here! With Farah! Dang…priest got punked LOL. More and more usuals turned up..Mandy, Teng, Kenny, Evonc,Yok, Aris, Arjuna & his sis, Kai Ma & Kai Yeh as well with several other priest’s friends. Fires burning smoothly..up and ready for bbq. Later that nite, what would make a perfect bbq if there wasn’t a game of blackjack (It’s CNY LOL!!) Can’t remember how many rounds but in the end lost about RM10 or so..sigh..didn’t scrub the luck hard enough. Was already leading the game with 2 straight blackjacks in a row for the first 2 rounds and after that it just went unpredictable up and down..LOL

About midnite, went over to Asia Cafe for mamaking with Teng, Ostro, priest, Kai Yeh & Kai Ma. Brought up lots of stuffs regarding about the clubs’ stability which I won’t say more to preserve what’s been discussed at that point remained at that point. Left around 3am, dropped priest back and went home..what a day, in the end the bbq did turn out successful I’d say ;-).

Congrats Jac on winning the Juara Lagu song - Gemilang!!!

Sunday, February 5th, 2006

My my…Jac did us proud again by scooping 2 prestigious awards - Best song for Ballad category and most important - the song of the entire award. Even Mawi stands no freaking chance (save for the fact that he undeservingly yet again took the best performance with 50% total votes from the audience..sigh..even after we tried to bag this award for Jac) Then again, doesn’t matter as Jac won the 2 most important award for the night =D Kudos!! All of us from Jacsville are so happy and proud of you gal! Can’t wait to upload the video on my blog..XD

Pai nin at kai ma & kai yeh’s place

Thursday, February 2nd, 2006

3rd day of CNY, went over Kai ma & kai yeh’s place at Prima Setapak for a visit. About 3pm, boarded the LRT to Kelana Jaya station where Kenny waited. Priest hasn’t arrived yet. Teng & Revo backed out last minute. Couldn’t wait for him longer so we left for Setapak first and meet up at Wangsa Maju station later. It was a smooth journey through, with many still not back yet before Sunday which of course, it’s a good thing for us LOL. Reached WM station, priest was only at Asia Jaya. Gosh, it’ll take at least another 30 minutes to reach where we were. Nim would pick him up instead so both of us went ahead.

Found their blocks…was initially shocked at the first glance of the hallway of each apartments..they looked so much like cellblocks! LOL..instead of black colour grills that is. I rang the doorbell, Kai ma opened the door and we said our greetings and ushered us in. Brought couple of mandarin oranges for her. Inside, the apartment was really spacious for an apratment. The hall and living room were really wide. Really awesome. Scorp and Uptowndragon were already there. We all sat down and chatted. Priest finally reached the doorstep soon after.

Nim arrived 10-15 minutes before American Idol began on Star World. They’re airing auditions in Las Vegas. While enjoying the show, we started ‘opening the table’ to make way for the cards LOL. Did a little warm-up before really placing our bets on the table. As we watched AI, I noticed there’s this talented girl who I didn’t realise was singing Big Spender only the 2nd time I rewatched it again cos she totally alter the melody (unlike the one sang by Nita) but it was really creative and praisable.

Meccamadison

About 7 plus, had dinner at a restaurant where Michael was waiting for us. Dressed in a Hawaiian like t-shirt and jeans, we almost couldn’t spotted him LOL. Ordered Yee Sang as our first menu, fish, tofu, green vege and sweet sour pork. Kai ma and kai yeh really treated us a big dinner and I really thanked them from the bottom of my heart.

Returned to the apartment and we continued our game of cards. All in all for the day, I lost about RM3-4 LOL. Still okay I’d say. Left about 11pm. Kenny dropped me in front of KFC and I walked back, carrying the returned packet. Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw mum playing cards with my aunties. I decided to try my luck here and what do ya know..I manage to grab up RM30! Always felt good to bank in some extra cash for CNY hehe..
