Thank god I asked priest the exact location of the Shell petrol station he was suppose to wait, if not I’d definitely went to the one in Summit man..yo..dude, you kept making me think that it’s there ya know LOL. So I left about 7.15pm, and true enough, the Federal Highway was congested. Slowly, the cars inch to the front of one another. I wasn’t very familiar with certain parts of Subang Jaya, well mainly because I hardly go there (besides Pyramid that is). Finally I found the way to USJ 3 and 4 (The huge signboard’s apparent enough)
We reached Sri Pentas 2 at about 8pm, just about on time for the show. Up to the highest floor (5th), I can cleary see people are already queueing up for them to open up into the studio.
When the doors are finally released, the people sort of pushed in like nobody’s business LOL. We sat next all the way to the right, where all the Farahnatics (as Farah supporters called it) are placed. In front of us were all the huge banners the fans made specially for her (I noticed Farah For Finale, Farah On Fire..they were a couple more but I can’t exactly remember what the wordings were). Wow, Farah’s supporters are definitely huge in the studio but I doubt about the viewers at home :/
Tonight’s theme was Classical Week and the finalists have to sing 2 songs each; 1 Malay and 1 English.
First up was Faizull with the song ‘I Feel Good’. He started off fine, was kinda enjoying to the tune when towards the end he was losing it..and the scream he did..arrgh..it was painful..especially when you’re seated where the speakers are only a few meters off you!! For his second, he dressed up exactly like Hang Jebat LMAO. It did surprised everyone in the studio. Priest was like asking jokingly,"Mana keris?" and I answered "The mic is the kerislah." XD XD.
Farah was second with P.Ramlee’s hit ‘Getaran Jiwa’. I was a little uneasy on why she chose to sing this song as it was a male’s number. It could have been better if a guy were to sing it instead of a gal. She didn’t really pulled it off greatly like last year’s Vick but overall it was alright. Paul and Roslan’s comment weren’t giving her any relief so to speak. On her second choice of song, she picked ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’. I thought she did it effortlessly as when she ended the song, the Farahnatics were cheering incredibly loud for her..Roslan was speechless a couple of seconds as we never gave him the chance to start his comment LOL. But yet again the judges didn’t seem so convinced with her performance. She’s really vulnerable now, we gotta save her all we can this week!!
Next was Daniel with ‘Save The Last Dance’. I wasn’t really paying attention to the song he was singing..cos too bus taking their pics on stage LOL. But I guessed he did it slightly lower than Farah. For his Malay song, ‘Angin Malam’, boy did he ended the song great. It was his second attempt of a Malay song and he nailed it exaclty into the wall. Judges were all praising him and that in the future, he should do more of such songs as it’s his forte.
Nita went up fourth with a Malay song I can’t really remember the title. She didn’t really succeed with this song as the judges’ comments on her were far less than positive. Get ready guys..her English number ‘Big Spender’ was an exceptional ‘classic’ for the night..seriously. The way she started off the song, it was flawless. People are so gonna remember this performance of hers.
Final one up was Ash..once again can’t remember the title LOL. Never really did get any good comments from the judges again. What’s even worse was, his final song, people were chit chatting while he’s singing. LOL, kinda disrespectful but hey, if you couldn’t connect the audience with the song, this is what you got.
Later when everyone dismissed, we had a mamak session with most of the regular forummers. Surprisingly, Ash joined us later when his gang (who were seated a two table away) broke off. When the session finally ended, each went separate ways while we went the same route as Michael (The Idols chereographer). On the way to the parking, we were chatting even more than ever, unaware that there are tonnes of mosquitoes sucking out every blood they could LOL. So by the time when we finally adjourned, it was already 2 am. What a day.
