Apologise for the long hiatus
Was rather busy lately to update my blog..now here I am full frontier again to write what I’ve missed the past few weeks.
Lessee…caught War Of The Worlds and recently Fantastic Four at the newly opened GSC One Utama located in the new wing that was extended to across the road. Look really nice, with the modern glass concept and white tiles. It’s no surprise when there are new shopping complexes being built, people will opt to flood these places.
Back to WOTW, actually we were really lucky there were exactly enough number of seats available on the time we arrived, not to mention the seats left are reasonably satisfactory. We came earlier about 5pm to purchase the midnight shows but only the first 2 front rows are available. We took the risk of trying to go for the released booked tickets and our efforts really paid ;).
The show was really heart-wrenching..imagine being a normal civilian in a quiet town, suddenly spontaneous lightning strikes at random places at the same time, unaware to us that tripods were buried deep down underground were relived. The next minute, people started running and screaming..turns out these tripods are evil techno machines planning to rule over the Earth, zapping any living creatures into thick black smokes that crosses its paths. From the title, I was expecting another war film..as it sounded like one..till I caught the preview. And from then, I was more than anticipated to watch it. Another one of those earth disasters like Deep Impact, Armageddon, The Core, The Day After Tomorrow etc interests me.
The ending seemed a little abrupt..can’t deny everyone was hoping a little more dramatic over the final battle between earth and martians. I guess no one knew even the tiniest orgasm or bacteria could have slowly degraded their lifespan here, leading to humankind victory again in the end..as always.
On to F4 (yes, I renamed the title to this if anyone’s familiar LOL), it was okay..I wouldn’t say good. Credit goes to the characters being portrayed by all 4 superheroes/heroins. In my opinion, the best would go to Ben Grimm a.k.a The Thing. His voice sounded pretty convincing…but I didn’t quite like the bulky rock yellow suit. Still worth a watch.
